The Best Way to Stop a Conversation From Spiraling Out of Control

It may feel like even the simplest conversations turn into an argument!  And once the downhill spiral begins, it may feel impossible to stop!

All you did was ask your partner a quick question, but something went sideways and it turned into a full blown argument about “nothing”!!

It is so annoying!

And so exhausting!

And when that little child part of them feels like that, they may regress into the pain from their past of not feeling loved, respected or put down.

And that unleashing the “go to”  response, which may be to get defensive, blame or judge!

So what is the solution to ending this ongoing pattern in a marriage?

It takes two to fight!!!

So when one starts responding from an untriggered place, then the arguments can’t happen.
